Interactive Extravaganza Mini Album. Graphic 45 DT.

Hi dear crafty friends! Today I’m sharing a new project Interactive Extravaganza Mini Album. Graphic 45 DT. This mini album took a long time to create but it was so worth the effort. It’s full of interactive flaps, pockets and inserts you might think it’s complicated to create but it’s not. You’ll be surprised how easy it is!   Interactive Extravaganza Mini Album. Graphic 45 DT. I started with the Rectangle tag and pocket mini album which is wonderful because it comes with a few interactive surprises. All its pages are full side pocket pages and there are also pockets on the front of some of the pages. So half of the work is already done right? All you need is to cover the pages with papers and you are ready to add photos. However if you’re like me covering the pages with photos might not be enough. You, like me, might want to add even more interactive mechanisms to …

How to create a 3D mixed media project

Hi dear crafty friends! Today I’m answering a question I get asked a lot: How to create a 3D mixed media project. People often ask me how do you get so much dimension on your mixed media projects especially regarding the elements. The basic question is how to give them enough height and create the layers that make the project look 3D. Well… here’s a tutorial to answer this question.     How to create a 3D mixed media project The basic idea is to arrange you elements in layers and give every layer extra height with chipboard pieces. I used to use foam tape which I realized does not hold the weight of these elements especially the metal ones. Plus it’s kind of expensive if you need to use a lot of it. Instead I’m using thick chipboard pieces which I cut from leftover chipboard pieces. I glue the chipboard pieces together and then attach the element to the …

Spooky House from Two Boxes. Graphic 45 DT Project

Hi dear crafty friends! Are you tired of Halloween projects already? If not then I have one more for you: Spooky House from Two Boxes. Graphic 45 DT Project. When you design for Graphic 45 it goes without saying that Halloween is a big thing and you need to come up with a fantastic project. Well… last year I think I did just that!     Spooky House from Two Boxes. Graphic 45 DT Project This spooky house is made from two boxes. The base is made from a Mixed media 5×5 box and the little house on it is made from a ATC book box. The bottom part was easy to make. The box is already black so all I had to do is cover all the sides with the amazing Halloween in Wonderland papers. The house on the top was a little more work. I used the lid of the box as a roof and secured it in …

One Page Wonder Mini Album Tutorial

Hi dear crafty friends! Today I’m back to my old tricks… I’m sharing a One Page Wonder Mini Album Tutorial! You know how I love coming up with these fun things not just because it’s cost effective and easy to create but also because it’s a challenge. I find, at least for me, that challenges spark my creativity!     One Page Wonder Mini Album Tutorial This little mini album was created from only one 12×12 double sided cardstock. You’ll be surprised how far you can go with some smart cutting and folding. This particular mini album has pages as well as a cover so it’ll be perfect as a brag book or even an insert to a larger mini album. You can glue together the covers and create a combo of one page mini albums too!         As for the embellishments the sky is the limit. Don’t put too many embellishments on the inside pages so …

Fast and Easy Vintage Layout

Hi dear crafty friends! Have you created any scrapbook pages lately? Today I’m sharing a Fast and Easy Vintage Layout I created after neglecting scrapbooking for awhile. I still want to go back to doing more scrapbooking and I hope you’ll join me. This layout is really fast and easy and you don’t need too many supplies to create it.     Fast and Easy Vintage Layout Whenever I’m stuck or I want to create a fast layout that will not require too much time or supplies I always go back to the basics. The basics for me is the paper. When I started scrapbooking there were hardly any supplies here and I had to improvise a lot. Part of that was to find everything I needed for a layout on the patterned paper I was working with. I used to cut out the images and used them as embellishments for my layout as well as for the background and …

Easy Paper Projects with Graphic 45

Hi dear crafty friends! This month I had to create Easy Paper Projects with Graphic 45 papers. Not all G45 projects have to be complicated with lots of steps. You can create fun, fast and easy projects too!     Easy Paper Projects with Graphic 45 My first project is an easy and fast adjustable vacation notebook. This project is perfect for all your vacation memories and it even has a special envelope for things like tickets, brochures and other memorabilia you want to keep. All you need to create this project is pieces of papers, tags, envelope and a binding machine. I used a Bind-it-All but any other binding method would do. If you don’t have something like that then just bind it with a ring or two.       My second project is also fun and easy: ATC’s with the new Master Detective collection. I found out that ATC’s are really fun to make and it’s even …

Water Colors Tags with Stamps and Fussy Cutting Tutorial

Hi dear crafty friends! Today I’m sharing the Water Colors Tags with Stamps and Fussy Cutting Tutorial I made as my first post as Graphic 45 Brand Ambassador. I know I’ve already told you how excited I am about it. Being a design team member for a second year is a dream come true!     Water Colors Tags with Stamps and Fussy Cutting Tutorial In this project I decided to explore water colors with the Graphic 45 stamps. I used water colors before but this time I wanted to see if I could use them to create a background for the tags. The Voyage Beneath the Sea papers match the sea water look of the water colors on the tags perfectly. I have a very modest set of water colors but that didn’t matter because I blended a few colors together to create more colors. After all the sea has so many colors of blue and green in it …
