hi everyone inette kler here with a new
0:12
video tutorial and today I'm going to
0:14
show you how to make really cute treat
0:16
boxes so I am
0:18
using um small Graphic 45 tags and then
0:24
I have taken 10x 1 and 3/4 piece of
0:28
black card stock and I'm going going to
0:30
score it at half an inch and 1 and
0:35
a/4 on the short side and then turn it
0:39
on the long
0:41
side and score it at 2 and
0:44
3/4 5 and 7 and
0:47
3/4 basically what we're making is the
0:50
frame for the treat box and the front in
0:54
the back of that box will be the
0:58
tags you can
1:01
and use other tags you will just need to
1:04
adjust your measurements now I'm
1:08
cutting along the bottom and top of the
1:13
strips along the vertical on basically
1:17
on two sides of the vertical lines and
1:19
the corners because I want to create
1:23
tabs so just cut it
1:27
diagonally until the
1:30
horizontal score line on both sides of
1:34
the vertical score lines to create
1:37
folding tabs this is what we're going to
1:39
fold and then
1:44
attach okay so now we can go ahead and
1:48
fold
1:53
everything and then the other side
2:04
then we can fold the vertical
2:13
lines
2:15
okay so now everything what we need to
2:18
do is just attach the tabs
2:24
together so I'm just applying a little
2:26
bit of glue on one side and then I'll do
2:28
the other side
2:32
it's going to be easy to do both sides
2:34
and all you need to do when to make sure
2:37
when you attach all the the
2:39
tabs is that you have everything in
2:42
90° because we want the box to be
2:46
accurate and not
2:48
wobbly so what you need to do is just
2:51
make sure that all the corners are
2:55
90° and of course you leave the top
3:02
open because what you need is to
3:07
open the treat box so one side one tab
3:12
is left unglued so you can open it and
3:17
then the tags will come on both
3:20
sides so now well all we need to do is
3:24
embellish the
3:26
tags and I'm just going to
3:30
trace the tags on my pattern paper cut
3:34
around
3:35
it of course if you already have tags
3:38
that are embellished or from pattern
3:41
paper that can save you
3:45
time and again the idea of creating the
3:48
box is that you
3:50
need the top and the bottom to be half
3:53
an inch and then the middle can be any
3:55
size that you
3:57
want I made it also half an inch inch
4:01
but you can make it bigger you can make
4:05
it4 of an inch 3/4 of an inch I mean
4:10
or even 1 in for a larger treat box I
4:15
use half an inch circle punch to punch
4:20
my tag so it will fit my padom paper tag
4:24
so it will fit
4:27
exactly onto my
4:30
black
4:32
tag again you don't have to use
4:35
readymade tags you can just use cut your
4:38
own
4:39
tags just found it easier this
4:45
way and you only need to cover one side
4:48
because obviously the other side is
4:50
going to
4:52
be uh glued to the sides of the box and
4:55
you won't see it
5:02
so let's do the other
5:06
side I always like to Ink the edges but
5:09
again it's up to you if you want to do
5:13
it it's a really great way to use
5:16
leftover papers paper
5:19
scraps
5:21
because the treat box are kind of
5:24
small so you see I've opened the top of
5:27
the box to make sure it don't glue it by
5:33
mistake and then I'm just gluing the
5:35
tags on both sides and the Box will be
5:37
complete now I have to again add all the
5:41
embellishments all the fun
5:45
embellishments to the
5:50
box it's attach the other side like to
5:54
do it lying down I mean the box is lying
5:58
down on my desk
6:00
this way I can make sure that it is
6:03
completely
6:07
aligned isn't that
6:10
cute okay so now let's go wild with
6:13
making the embellishments I'm measuring
6:16
the
6:17
sides cuz I want to add cover paper on
6:21
the sides as well just me measure the
6:24
side and cut it
6:27
along the to
6:30
size it's completely optional you can
6:32
leave it black if you want or any other
6:34
color of card stock that you're using to
6:36
create the
6:43
Box because I find it looks
6:49
better if I cover it but again
6:52
completely up to you I also cover the
6:55
top of the
6:58
lid the one one that I didn't glue that
7:00
stays
7:05
open I didn't give you the measurements
7:08
because it depends how you fold it what
7:10
is the thickness of your paper and
7:13
sometimes the measurements just don't
7:15
fit so you can just measure the sides
7:17
and decide for yourself what size of
7:22
cover papers you want to
7:25
add now let's add our Embellishments
7:30
that is completely up to you whatever
7:33
you have in your
7:35
stash whatever you can cut out from your
7:37
paper collections if you have D Cuts if
7:40
you have
7:43
stickers i've just cut some a
7:47
skeleton actually two one small that's
7:50
going to go in The Cauldron there with
7:51
the other
7:53
bones and another large one or larger
7:57
one is going to go on the side side
8:00
here so basically you can go
8:05
wild with the
8:08
embellishments that little spider will
8:11
go on the front
8:16
here really like how this turning
8:19
out hope you like it too and I am
8:23
attaching some of the embellishments
8:26
with foam tape so they have a little bit
8:29
more of a
8:30
[Music]
8:32
dimension think it looks better this way
8:34
but again you can use whatever glue you
8:37
want whatever you feel comfortable with
8:41
whatever you think will look best on
8:42
your treat little treat
8:45
box
8:48
so so let's attach it to our front
8:54
here this looks really cool
9:02
just adding a little bit more
9:08
glue oh and the cat got to have a cat a
9:12
black cat
9:14
right the tail is
9:18
too sticking out too much I'm just going
9:21
to cut it and then reattach
9:24
it in a different angle you can do that
9:30
the last thing I'm going to add is a
9:33
little ribbon I don't embellish the back
9:36
but you can go ahead and do that and I
9:39
also want to add a little bit of
9:43
um glossy accents just to make
9:46
everything a little bit
9:49
shiny I think it will look really really
9:52
pretty and I've also made a box that is
9:55
bigger like I said you should just keep
9:59
the the/ in margins for the tabs and the
10:02
middle can be bigger than the half inch
10:05
that I
10:07
made so I really hope you like this
