hi everyone in kler here with a new
0:17
video tutorial and today I'm going to
0:20
share some more mini album tips and make
0:23
show you how to make 3D mini albums so
0:27
we're going to start with the first one
0:28
it's a star any album you have a link to
0:31
all the measurements in the description
0:33
under the video you can go ahead and
0:35
download it so we're going to um score
0:39
all our black card stock at 6
0:44
in these These are going to be the base
0:47
for
0:48
our Star Mini album all
0:51
3D mini albums can basically stand on
0:55
their own and that's what's special
0:58
about them
1:00
and then we're going to
1:03
score our
1:05
white card
1:09
stock at 3 and 7/8 5 and 7/8 and 7 and
1:18
7/8 so that is for the measurements the
1:22
scoring measurements for our white card
1:26
stock of course you can use other colors
1:28
if you want
1:31
but I find that the contrast looks
1:34
pretty
1:35
good especially with the cover papers
1:40
later okay so we're going to fold
1:43
everything now so we're going to fold
1:47
our white card
1:50
stock in a w shape so basically it's a
1:55
concertina or an accordion fold so you
1:58
change the direction of the fold each
2:01
time so this is what you should have
2:03
fold all the white pieces the same
2:09
way and then all the black pieces we're
2:12
going to fold in
2:15
half and then all we need to do is
2:19
assemble our mini album our 3D mini
2:22
album so the tip this time is to make 3D
2:27
mini albums which are really fun and not
2:30
only you can add your photos but you can
2:33
display them and present them because
2:36
they stand on their own so now let's
2:38
apply glue on the bottom part of the W
2:43
on both sides on the right side and on
2:45
the left
2:47
side while the fold in the center is
2:51
facing up so that this way you know
2:54
which way is down and which way is up
2:56
then we're going to attach the white
2:59
piece to the black
3:03
piece aligning it with the edges leaving
3:06
a nice little margin around and this is
3:09
one page this is what you should have
3:12
this is one page of the mini album and
3:14
then you have to
3:17
repeat this with all the other
3:23
Pages now we're going to attach the
3:25
pages to themselves basically and create
3:30
the 3d
3:31
effect so we're going to take the first
3:35
one or they're all the same so there's
3:37
no first or last just take one of
3:40
them you have
3:42
six and then apply glue to the
3:47
back of the page on one side
3:52
only and then attach the next page back
3:55
to
3:58
back and then you continue to do
4:01
that all the rest of the
4:04
pages and you can see how the star is
4:09
taking
4:11
shape so just apply glue to the back of
4:15
the page and then attach the next
4:19
page and you just keep repeating that
4:22
until all the pages are
4:24
connected are
4:27
attached so we have attached all the
4:35
pages this is what we have so far so now
4:40
you can see how the
4:41
star is
4:45
formed now what I like to do to secure
4:48
the star
4:50
shape is to have a
4:57
magnet and then
5:00
I'm attaching a magnet
5:03
to the front and the back which is
5:07
basically the first page and the last
5:09
page and this way when I
5:12
open the mini album and I want it to
5:14
stand as a star I have something to
5:18
close it
5:22
with so now I've
5:25
attached you know for a magnet you need
5:27
two
5:28
pieces so this is the best way to ensure
5:33
that they
5:35
match and I also like to add a
5:39
ribbon to ensure that the mini album
5:42
stay closed when it is not
5:46
standing in the star
5:49
form so I'm doing all of this before I
5:52
add the first and last cover
5:56
pages and all the magnets and the
5:58
ribbons will be hidden
6:00
under the cover
6:03
page and again you have all the
6:05
measurements in The Cutting guide that
6:06
you can
6:08
download uh in the description the link
6:10
is in the description under the
6:12
video so now all I need to do is add my
6:15
cover papers and then my first 3D mini
6:20
album is
6:21
ready I can add photos I can embellish I
6:24
can do whatever I want
6:31
[Music]
6:32
and I can also display this mini album
6:36
standing as a
6:41
star and that will look pretty good so
6:45
for the photos you can add them on the
6:47
larger parts
6:49
of the mini album the page you can add
6:54
the journaling to the smaller part or
6:57
you can cut photos to fit the small part
7:00
as well this is completely up to you how
7:03
you want to add your photos your
7:05
journaling and so
7:07
on so this is how it looks when you flip
7:10
through
7:12
it and then when it
7:13
[Music]
7:15
stands you have the star shape which is
7:18
really
7:19
cool so isn't that fun so the next 3D
7:25
mini
7:27
album is a backpack which is really
7:31
really
7:33
cute
7:37
for uh small kids back to school photos
7:42
University College and so
7:44
on so what we're going to do you have
7:48
again a link to all the
7:50
measurements in the description under
7:52
the video so we're going to
7:57
score the first piece
8:00
at 2 6 7 and
8:08
8 so that's pretty
8:16
easy so we're going to score
8:24
that and then we're going to score the
8:27
second piece at 3 and 1/2
8:30
and
8:36
seven so that is pretty easy
8:40
too and the third piece again we're
8:44
going to score at 3 and 1/2 and
8:47
seven so you have three
8:51
pieces and then we're going to fold
8:57
it the last two pieces are folded in an
9:00
accordion
9:01
shape these are slightly smaller pieces
9:04
these are going to be the inside pages
9:06
of our mini
9:08
album and then the larger piece is going
9:12
to be the outside
9:15
backpack so we're going to fold
9:19
these as you can
9:23
see the order of the folds this is what
9:26
you should have and this is how the
9:28
backpack is going to look
9:30
look and the pages are going to go in
9:35
there next I'm going to cover everything
9:39
with my cover
9:46
papers again you have all the
9:48
measurements in The Cutting guide can
9:51
download from the description under the
9:57
video so I also used some leftovers
10:02
here and I had pieces
10:06
of paper that I attached together to
10:11
create larger paper to cover some of the
10:13
pages in the outside of the backpack
10:16
this way I utilized all my paper
10:19
scraps and make sure that nothing goes
10:22
to
10:26
waste okay let's cover the page
10:31
es and you can attach them before you
10:34
cover them so you apply glue to the
10:36
bottom of the little accordion that we
10:38
made and then you attach it to the
10:41
inside of the backpack and then you can
10:44
go ahead and cover the pages or you can
10:47
first cover them and then attach them it
10:49
doesn't really matter order is the
10:57
same so I'm just going to cover all the
11:01
papers all the pages with
11:04
papers so basically my mini album is
11:09
almost ready I want to add a magnet as a
11:13
closure so the magnet has two pieces I'm
11:16
attaching one and closing the flap to
11:20
attach the second one cuz they're both
11:22
have adhesive on their
11:25
backs so now I have my
11:27
strips which I'm going to score at half
11:30
an inch it's sorry 1 in on each
11:38
side these are going to be the
11:41
backpack strips on the
11:45
back so one in on each
11:53
side and we're going to fold the same
11:57
direction like this then attach
12:01
them to the back of the
12:06
backpack so I'm applying
12:10
glue to the little folded tabs like this
12:15
then attaching
12:17
them to the back side of the backpack
12:20
like this now you have your
12:23
strips now the next part is completely
12:26
optional I created a little envelope
12:35
if you want you can add that if you
12:38
don't want then it's completely up to
12:45
you any size will do you can skip this
12:48
part all together it's like a little
12:50
pocket in the front
12:59
so I'm just
13:02
closing the
13:04
envelope this is a pretty basic envelope
13:14
design just removing the sides so I can
13:17
fold this towards the
13:19
inside and
13:21
then attach the little flaps on the side
13:30
this is again completely
13:35
optional if you want you can make it if
13:38
not you don't have
13:41
to your mini album your 3D backpack mini
13:44
album is basically ready as it is
13:55
now just going to cut this it's a little
13:59
bit too
14:02
long then cover it with papers and
14:05
attach that to the front of my mini
14:09
album again you can just create a
14:11
regular pocket it doesn't have to
14:13
be doesn't have to look like an
14:17
envelope so when you take a pocket you
14:20
already know how to do that we made so
14:21
many pockets in the
14:23
past so you can just add a pocket a
14:27
regular pocket in the front and
14:36
instead always when you have diagonal
14:39
folds or Cuts it's just use
14:45
whatever base that you need to attach it
14:48
to as a
14:49
template and then cut
14:52
out your paper and that will be
14:55
completely matched
15:01
to whatever base you need to attach it
15:03
to this is a little
15:06
tip okay so now I'm attaching this to
15:09
the front of my backpack mini album and
15:11
then the mini album will be ready so
15:14
this is our second 3D mini album and as
15:17
you can see it can stand on its
15:21
own and then like
15:24
this and then the photos are inside
15:29
isn't that
15:30
cute really really cute 3D mini album so
15:34
we have one more 3D mini album to make
15:38
the next
15:40
one is
15:42
also it's not a star shape exactly but
15:45
it's also a 3D mini album that can stand
15:47
on its
15:49
own this is how it
15:52
looks so it's pretty easy to make going
15:55
to take our inside um
15:59
base
16:01
shape and score it every one inch so one
16:06
two Etc until you run out of till you
16:10
run out of
16:12
paper so that's one two
16:17
3
16:20
4 and five
16:23
in then we're going to fold them all in
16:26
the same direction
16:29
oh and six too sorry so 1 2 3 4 5 six
16:33
Ines cuz we need that little tab at the
16:36
end to
16:38
attach to the front of the piece so I'm
16:42
folding them all in the same
16:49
direction and then I'm going to
16:53
cover the
16:55
inside of this shape
17:02
with the cover
17:07
papers so they're all the same size
17:10
obviously now I'm applying glue and
17:14
attaching that little
17:16
tab to the other side while the papers
17:19
are on the
17:23
inside so you should
17:26
have something like this
17:30
let's make sure everything is dry
17:33
first and
17:36
aligned so this is what you
17:40
have now you can attach the
17:44
pages to the center of the mini album
17:47
it's pretty
17:48
easy I'm going to cover all the papers
17:51
first with their cover papers it's
17:54
easier to do it now than later
18:04
and then we're going to attach all the
18:07
pages
18:09
to the
18:12
center just decide what order you want
18:14
before you attach them so what we're
18:16
going to
18:17
do is apply glue to we have six sides so
18:21
just pick one side it doesn't matter
18:23
which one you start
18:25
with and then attach the page while it's
18:32
aligned with
18:34
the score line like
18:37
this aligned with the right score line
18:42
from where you put the
18:45
glue and then of course aligned with the
18:47
center as well the page is bigger than
18:50
the center it needs the center needs to
18:51
be in the middle of the page and then
18:54
you continue you apply glue to the next
18:57
side or the next
18:59
[Music]
19:00
panel and
19:02
then attach the page while it's aligned
19:05
with the score line on the
19:07
right and with the center of your mini
19:14
album and then you just keep on going to
19:18
attach all the pages so you have six
19:21
pages for six panels or six sides and at
19:26
the end you have a mini album that you
19:29
can that stands on its own and then you
19:32
can display it so each time just
19:35
[Music]
19:37
fold and reveal the side that you want
19:40
to attach the page
19:43
to like
19:49
this okay so now we have the last page
19:54
to
19:55
attach and you see that this mini album
19:57
can also be completely flat so if you
20:01
want to send it in the mail or something
20:03
it is possible you just keep on folding
20:06
all the sides you have two more pages to
20:11
attach so I really hope you like all
20:14
these 3D mini album
20:17
tutorials this is the mini album tip for
20:21
this
20:22
month and I really hope you give them a
20:24
try please don't forget to subscribe to
20:26
my channel and click on the little bell
20:28
icon to be notified when I upload a new
20:30
video so you won't miss anything and
20:32
you'll be able to follow all the
20:33
tutorials and make all the
20:36
projects so now this is our last
20:41
page make sure everything is dry before
20:44
you flip the pages and make it stand on
20:47
its
20:49
own but this is how it looks when it is
20:54
finished so you can attach photos to the
20:58
front front and the back of each of the
21:02
pages and then you can flip through them
21:07
it's really
21:08
fun can flip through them like
21:12
this so thank you very much for joining
21:16
me for this these mini album
21:22
tips and I will see you next time
