Shabby Chic Notebook Cover. Scrap & Craft DT

Hi dear crafty friends!

I'm so excited to announce I was asked to join the Scrap & Craft design team. This is an amazing store with a wide selection of papers, chipboards and other craft supplies. I recommend you check it out! Today I'm sharing my first project Shabby Chic Notebook Cover. Scrap & Craft DT

I think a notebook cover is meant to be embellished right? There are some pretty covers out there but if you want an inexpensive notebook then its cover will probably be boring. So the best thing to do is add some fun things to the cover.

I first painted the cover with gesso. This served a double purpose: changing the color of the cover which was purple and create a base for easy gluing and other mediums. Next I attached a piece of paper to cover the entire front. I went with a shabby chic style to match my embellishments. Then I added a few chipboards and cut out images. Of course I added them with a little height so I'll have some interesting dimension. Finally I added some flowers to finish the look.

Now it's a fun and pretty notebook that I'll be happy to open and use everyday!

Here are all the supplies I used. You can find all of them in Scrap & Craft:

Lemoncraft - House Of Roses - 6x6" Paper Pad

13arts - His&Hers 12x12 paper pad
