There’s just enough time to make these spook-tacular easy and fun toilet paper rolls mini Trick or Treat boxes and fill them with yummy candies. All you need are a few TP rolls that instead of finding their way to the bin can be used to create last minute party favors. This is a great craft to do with your kids or in school. It only takes 5 minutes to create the box, wrap it with a white bandage you can get at the pharmacy and add a face. The face is the really fun part because you can create all kinds of spooky faces with as many eyes or teeth that you want! Don’t miss out! Last weekend we had some crazy weather, lots of snow in not very high places, blackouts, hail storms and non stop rain. All that inspired me to go all wintery and create a snowy mixed media canvas with a happy little snowman. I’ve reused one of my un needed 6″ X 6″ canvases and covered it with gesso. Then I added two large acrylic snowflake shapes and covered them with gesso as well. I added a little light blue color with a color spray and a baby wipe. To create the snow I used two layers of cheese cloth that reminded me of the snow texture and whiteness. I added my stamped embossed snowman and a title. For more festive atmosphere I also added little snowflakes made from rhinestones and a little bling with stickles. You can join me for a step by step video tutorial for all the details! Some of the manufacturers give us a real good return for our money because they invest in the package and not just the product. Kaiser Craft is one of them. Their rub-ons and cutouts come in a great plastic package that is ideal for recycle or reuse. The minute I saw it I knew immediately I’ll have to create something of it. It’s just too good to just leave it as a package. It was perfect for….a pencil case! I used a really good adhesive and added ribbon, papers and cut outs, some buttons and tags. It’s an easy project to do with your kids. They can create their own embellished pencil case for school. Another DT sketch layout for Mad About Scrapping. This is a fun and easy layout that would be perfect for kids to create. I only used pieces of patterned paper and some stickers. Now that the kids are on summer break we often hear the sentence “Mom I’m board”, here is an idea…sit together and scrap. You can follow my layout or create something completely new.
