Inside: Fun and easy ideas to create summer pages for all your memories from this summer vacation, outdoor trips, days at the beach etc.   Personally I’m not a big fan of summer, which is a little strange when you consider the fact I live in a country that is usually hot. I don’t like the heat and the humidity BUT I do love our summer family time and vacations! I’m so lucky that my kids (now 20 and 17 years old) have always enjoyed going on summer activities together and still do! I know it’s not a given so even if I don’t do any other pages through out the year I always do those special pages with our summer memories.     WET SUMMER PAGES   Who doesn’t love going to the beach or the swimming pool to cool off in the inviting blue water?  The water is always a great background for taking beautiful photos with a …

Scrapbooking Tips: Creating Wet Layouts

Hi dear crafty friends! Today on Scrapbooking Tips: Creating Wet Layouts. It’s summer outside and on the northern hemisphere it’s HOT! One of the best things to do on a hot day is spend it in the water.Today I want to share some ideas for layouts telling the stories of those “wet” fun days!     Scrapbooking Tips: Creating Wet Layouts Sea colors backgrounds Create a page with ocean colors that blend together with the photo. That will immediately give your page the right atmosphere and mood. It can be a pattern with waves, a paper with blue and green colors or even a white cardstock that you can paint or spray yourself to match the colors of the photo.     Add “wet” embellishments Add “wet” motifs to your page like: sea shells, waves, lighthouse or palm trees. Anything that relates to the beach, the ocean or the swimming pool will complete the look of your page. You can …

Hot Ideas for Capturing Summer memories

Last year I posted about some hot ideas for summer layouts and ya’ll loved it! So why not do another one? Here’s a round up of more ideas for great summer layouts capturing all the fun you had and still have time to have! I have to admit I have mixed feelings about summer. On one hand the weather is horrible, it’s hot, humid and sticky and all you want to do is put the AC in an I.V and syick it in your hand 🙂 On the other hand the days are long, there is a lot of time to have fun with the family, the fruits are amazing and there’s no school! So sometimes i love the summer and sometimes I hate it.. Relax mixed media layout

Sometimes you get to take the coolest photo. I don’t have that chance often because my kids are big and don’t cooperate much with taking pictures. But this time it was just perfect. I had the coolest photo! I knew I would create a mixed media layout with it so it will shine! I started with the background. I created a patterned with a stencil and sprays. Then added more pattern with distress ink and a second stencil. I added torn pieces of patterned papers and tissue paper to add more color and texture. I also added cheese cloth which always reminds me of a fish net and goes well with the theme of the layout. I decided not to use flowers for this layout so I added different kinds of embellishments; pieces of old jewelry, sea shells, a string and words I cut from a patterned paper. I also added metal rings which I colored with alcohol ink. Check out …

It is always exciting to be spotlighted on Prima blog. This layout was one of the layouts picked for the June Build A Page challenge. For this layout I used shades of blue, and I added extra texture with a piece of a Tull fabric. I also misted the paper a little with blue Glimmer mist. Have fun creating! Einat

Getting wet

Here is the July sketch for Scrapping Everyday Miracles. I’m so into the summer fun that I decided to create this layout with some old poolside photos. I used papers from Fancy Pants, The Robin’s Nest, Glitz and Jilibean design. I added K & Company and Chatterbox stickers. I also added a little glimmer mist and glimmer paint dots to create water splashes. You can still enter your layout to Scrapping Everyday Miracles and have a chance to win a great prize. Yummy summer – crafts for kids

Another DT sketch layout for Mad About Scrapping. This is a fun and easy layout that would be perfect for kids to create. I only used pieces of patterned paper and some stickers. Now that the kids are on summer break we often hear the sentence “Mom I’m board”, here is an idea…sit together and scrap. You can follow my layout or create something completely new. Have fun creating! Einat
