Hexagon Box Tutorial

Hi dear crafty friends! The boxes just keep on coming! Today I want to share a Hexagon Box Tutorial I created for Studio 75 with the beautiful Violet Love paper collection. Their paper is perfect for creating boxes because it’s heavy enough to carry the weight.     Hexagon Box Tutorial Start with two pieces of 12×6 double sided cardstock. Score them horizontally at 3, 6 and 9. Turn the paper and score vertically at 5.     Cut on the four score lines until the horizontal score line to create tabs.     Fold all the score lines. Apply glue on one of the squares on the edge of the paper.     Attach the two pieces of paper by overlapping the two edge squares.     Repeat on the other side to create the box.     Place the box on a 12×12 paper and trace the hexagon shape with a pencil. Cut it out.     Apply …

Do You Love Boxes?

Hi dear crafty friends! I have one important question for you today… Do You Love Boxes? There are two types of people: those who see boxes as a practical thing to put stuff in and others, like me who just LOVE boxes! I don’t know why but I just love them. I love to buy them and even more I love to create them!     Do You Love Boxes? So I have compiled a list of a few boxes I created, all with tutorials of course! Steampunk Altered Boxes Chest Part of the magic of boxes is that they are the best thing to alter. You can paint them, cover them with paper or embellish them with anything. I attached three boxes together and altered them with sprays and lots of steampunk and metal embellishments. Nesting Boxes with Graphic 45

Hi dear crafty friends! Today I’m sharing my Nesting Boxes with Graphic 45 amazing Fairy Dust paper collection. These boxes are just the perfect fit for this collection and its magical look.     Nesting Boxes with Graphic 45 Do you know what Matryoshka dolls are? These are similar to those dolls that are nested one inside the other. I decided to create Matryoshka boxes. The idea is three boxes in different sizes that fit one inside of the other. Each box fits neatly inside the next and comes decorated with all the fussy cut fairies imagery.         To create this project I used both the 12×12 and 8×8 paper sizes as well as the sticker page. This project is so fun! You can keep the boxes tucked in together or display them apart. . Two important things you need to remember when creating a box that has cards, a mini album, or any other project in …

Interactive Extravaganza Mini Album. Graphic 45 DT.

Hi dear crafty friends! Today I’m sharing a new project Interactive Extravaganza Mini Album. Graphic 45 DT. This mini album took a long time to create but it was so worth the effort. It’s full of interactive flaps, pockets and inserts you might think it’s complicated to create but it’s not. You’ll be surprised how easy it is!   Interactive Extravaganza Mini Album. Graphic 45 DT. I started with the Rectangle tag and pocket mini album which is wonderful because it comes with a few interactive surprises. All its pages are full side pocket pages and there are also pockets on the front of some of the pages. So half of the work is already done right? All you need is to cover the pages with papers and you are ready to add photos. However if you’re like me covering the pages with photos might not be enough. You, like me, might want to add even more interactive mechanisms to …

Hi dear crafty friends! Today I’m back to my old tricks… I’m sharing a One Page Wonder Mini Album Tutorial! You know how I love coming up with these fun things not just because it’s cost effective and easy to create but also because it’s a challenge. I find, at least for me, that challenges spark my creativity!     One Page Wonder Mini Album Tutorial This little mini album was created from only one 12×12 double sided cardstock. You’ll be surprised how far you can go with some smart cutting and folding. This particular mini album has pages as well as a cover so it’ll be perfect as a brag book or even an insert to a larger mini album. You can glue together the covers and create a combo of one page mini albums too!         As for the embellishments the sky is the limit. Don’t put too many embellishments on the inside pages so …
