Hi dear crafty friends!
Today I'm sharing another page from my art journal: Lighten Your Load Art Journal Page. I love sharing my process and art journey with you in the hopes you'll get the art journal bug too.
Lighten Your Load Art Journal Page
First let me say that I never wait for an idea to do some art journaling. I used to. But then I realized that if I wait for an idea to come I'll be waiting for a long time. Art journaling is like a muscle if you don't move it'll atrophy. If you won't work in your art journal you'll get rusty and slowly it would seem almost impossible...
So this page has started as a way to keep my creative juices flowing. I had no idea what to do on this page so I started with just putting some of my favorite colors with a brush. No particular order or plan. After doing that I still didn't have an idea so I started looking at some supplies I had on my desk. This is a great tip when you have no ideas because other supplies might spark an idea in your head.
I found a paper with some feathers on it and that gave me an idea to do a page on the load we all carry on out shoulders/ backs/ mind... I cut out some feathers from the paper do add to the page. My next step was to add some details to the page. I stamped the page and added a little doodling. Then I glued the feathers to the page and added the title.
What do you think? I like it! I especially proud of the fact that when I started I had nothing in my mind but when I was finished the page turned out perfect!
