12 Things You Didn’t Know About Passover

Hi dear crafty friends! Today Jews around the world celebrate Passover, which is one of the most important holidays for Jews. For those who aren’t Jews Passover is that time once a year when their friends can’t eat pizza. But there is actually more to this holiday than what Jews can or can’t eat. This holiday is all about celebrating freedom, miracles and faith. Today I want to share 12 Things You Didn’t Know About Passover!     Here is the story of Passover in a nutshell: After decades of slavery to the Egyptian pharaohs, God saw the Jews’ distress and sent Moses to Pharaoh with a message: “Send forth my people.” But despite numerous warnings, Pharaoh refused to heed God’s command. God then sent upon Egypt ten devastating plagues, afflicting them and destroying everything from their livestock to their crops. At the stroke of midnight of 15 Nissan (The Hebrew month coinciding with April) in the year 1313 BCE, God visited …

Nesting Boxes version 2

Hi dear crafty friends! Remember the three nesting boxes I made with the beautiful Fairy Dust papers by Graphic 45? Well… I liked it so much I decided to create the Nesting Boxes version 2.      Nesting Boxes version 2 I was not the only one who really liked them. I was invited to teach a class with this project in a craft store I really like. The class is going to be during the Passover holiday for moms and daughters. We’ll have so much fun! Here are a few photos of the three boxes I made with Hello Spring papers by Echo Park. These papers have a really happy, colorful and bright vibe to them. I have to say I’m usually not a fan of papers in this style but this paper collection just got tome 🙂       Have you Joined the VIP Room? Where every month you’ll get new class grade video tutorials, be the first to …

Z Fold Card with Studio 75

Hi dear crafty friends!  Today I want to share with you a Z Fold Card with Studio 75 new paper collection: Cherry Blossom. I don’t make cards very often but when I do I like to add something extra to them. This time the card opens a little different which makes it much more interesting!     Z Fold Card with Studio 75 Creating a Z fold card is really easy. I created a horizontal card but you can easily make it vertical. The principal is to fold the cardstock in half and then fold one of the sides in half again. Fold the cardstock in an accordion shape to create the Z.       Here’s how to make this card: Take a 4″ x 12″ piece of double sided cardstock and fold it in half. Then fold the left 6″ x 4″ rectangle on the 2″ from the edge and fold in the opposite direction. The Z on …

Mini Album Tips: Using Scraps!

Hi dear crafty friends! Every month I post about a scrapbooking tip to make your layouts look better. This series is such a success I decided to also share my tips about mini albums. Especially with all the questions I’m getting about the mini albums I create! So I’m proud to present Mini Album Tips: Using Scraps!       Mini Album Tips: Using Scraps! Since mini albums are small in size they are the best opportunity to use your scraps! Every once in a while I like to collect a few scraps of papers and use them as pages in a mini album. The secret is to decide what is the size of the largest page, for example 6″ x 6″ and have all the scraps in that size and smaller.         Once you pick all the pieces bind them together with rings or a binding machine and start adding embellishments, photos and journaling! You can find …

House Printers Tray

Hi dear crafty friends! Today I want to share with you my new House Printers Tray. I’m teaching how to create this project in a new class at the Touch of Art store. I’m really excited to teach this class for people who never created a printers tray before.   House Printers Tray Printers trays are one of my favorite things to create. Although they take time it’s so much fun to create. The thing I enjoy the most is plan and find little items to put inside the different parts of the tray as well as making my own embellishments. I’m always on the lookout for 3d items of any theme in the hopes of finding a place for them in a future printers tray I’ll create.       This project is about family so I also included some photos of my kids. You might not believe it but I only used a little paint, less than 4 …
