Halloween is the perfect time to make a journal or album.
The theme gives you so many creative possibilities, from mysterious old books and haunted houses to costumes, photographs, spooky stories, magical recipes, and treasured Halloween memories. You can make something dark and gothic, whimsical and playful, vintage and eerie, or completely unique to your own style.
A Halloween junk journal is perfect if you love layering, collage, pockets, tags, and lots of little details.
There are no strict rules. Combine Halloween papers with old book pages, printable ephemera, envelopes, labels, tickets, photographs, fabric scraps, ribbons, and anything else that fits your theme.

I created this small brag book with one of my favorite Halloween paper collections by Graphic 45: Hallowe’en in Wonderland. This brag book will be great for your kids or grand kids costumes or even photos of yourself. The great thing about making this mini album is its binding. The entire brag book is bound with nothing but washi tape in a very easy technique.
You can use this binding technique for other Halloween mini albums just make sure that they are small and don’t have too many pages because washi tape is not strong enough to hold big size albums.
Why document only Halloween night when you can document the entire month?
An October Daily journal gives you a creative space to record something from every day of October.
It doesn’t have to be a major event.
One day could include a photograph of your Halloween decorations. Another could feature a recipe you tried, a movie you watched, a craft project you made, or simply a few sentences about something that put you in the Halloween spirit.

You can give each room its own colors, patterns, characters, and objects while keeping the entire album connected through a consistent visual style.
This approach works especially well for an interactive album because doors, windows, drawers, cupboards, and hidden rooms naturally translate into paper mechanisms.
You can even create a floor plan at the beginning of the album and then take the reader on a room-by-room journey.
