Inside: great hacks to make amazing mini albums you need to know and try!   If you’re a paper crafter and you want to showcase your photos and document your memories you can make 12×12 scrapbook pages or mini albums. However sometimes those large empty scrapbook pages are a little intimidating and time consuming to create so a smaller mini album is the perfect way to achieve the same goals in less time and more fun!     Mini albums come in all sizes, with 8”x8” and 6”x6” being the most popular. They often have all their pages in the album about a specific person, place, event or occasion. There’s often a thread of continuity in terms of design: The papers match the album or the scrapper uses the same alphabet stickers throughout. WHY MAKE MINI ALBUMS Overwhelmed by the thought of devoting time, money and energy to a giant scrapbook, more and more people are starting small. Mini albums …

Travel Memories Envelope Mini Album

Hi dear crafty friends! Today I want to share with you my Travel Memories Envelope Mini Album. I just realized I never shared it with you even though I made it almost two years ago. It was safely stored in my Etsy box where I keep all my items for sale. I went through it and found it there… waiting to be shared with the world.     Travel Memories Envelope Mini Album Paper bag mini albums were a big hit a while back and I still think they are really fun to make. The main reason is because the paper bag is doing half the work! You have a page and a pocket all made up and all you need to do is bind the paper bags and decorate the pages with pattern papers and embellishments.       What I really love about mini albums like this is that they look small but they can fit lots of …

One Page Wonder Interactive Mini Album

Hi dear crafty friends! Today I want to share my farewell project for the Graphic 45 design team: One Page Wonder Interactive Mini Album. I had a lot of fun creating it and before you ask for a tutorial I promise to make one for you.     One Page Wonder Interactive Mini Album As a final project, I wanted to create something that is really me. This project is me in all sorts of ways. First, it’s a one-page wonder project which you know I love. It features one of my all-time favorite collection: Steampunk Debutante. It has an interactive mechanism in it and it utilizes a lot of leftovers, which is something I always challenge myself to do.           The mini album was created from one 12×12 black cardstock. I then covered its pages with the pattern paper and added the flaps and pockets. The binding is a really simple binding with a ribbon. It was hard to capture all the details in this mini …

Interactive Mini Album with Scrap and Craft

Hello dear crafty friends! Today I want to share with you an Interactive Mini Album with Scrap and Craft. You’ve seen me create interactive mini albums before, but I wanted to show you how easy it is to make them even if you’re a beginner!     Interactive Mini Album with Scrap and Craft The idea is to cover an accordion mini album with pattern paper but instead of just attaching a page you’ll attach an interactive mechanism. The size of the accordion mini album pages are 5 1/4″ x 5 1/4″ so all the cover papers should measure 5″ x 5″. However by cutting the paper in a larger size you can turn any page into an interactive page. Here’s how: First double page: Left side: cut the paper 7″ x 5″ and score at 5″on the longer side. You’ll get a side flap on the left by attaching the 5″ x 5″ flap to the album page while …

Black background Mini Album

Hi dear crafty friends! Today i want to share with you my new Black background Mini Album. I realized that unless I’m working with Graphic 45 papers I don’t use black cardstock to construct my mini albums. So I decided to try it!     Black background Mini Album I decided to combine the black base of the mini album with a very floral paper collection especially for the coming spring. To my surprise it turned out really well. The black compliments the bright colors and makes them pop! In this 8×8 mini album I included all kinds of interactive mechanisms. I liked the black background so much I even left some of the pages and elements uncovered and only embellished.               How about you? have you ever created a Black background Mini Album? I hope you’ll find the right paper collection and try it. the result is really beautiful! Don’t miss out! Keep up …

One Page Wonder Mini Album for Studio 75 DT

Hi dear crafty friends! Today I want to share with you my One Page Wonder Mini Album for Studio 75 DT. It’s another easy project that you can create from only one piece of 12 x 12 double sided cardstock.     One Page Wonder Mini Album for Studio 75 DT Here’s how to create it: Score your paper vertically on 3 7/8″, 4″, 8″ and 8 1/4″. Turn your paper 90 degrees to the right and score on 2″ and 8″. Fold all the fold lines.       Cut from the bottom of the page on the fold lines up to the first horizontal fold line on 2″. Remove those little pieces completely to create gaps between the sections of the mini album. Repeat on the top as well. Apply glue on both sides of each of the bottom flaps and attach to the paper to create pockets. Add inserts, photos or journaling cards inside the pockets. close …
