Scrapbooking Tips: How To Use Cut Image

Today on Scrapbooking Tips: How To Use Cut Image. When you have a bad photo with a background you don’t want to use you can cut out the image on the photo and use it on your layout. The best images to use are people images as long as you do it correctly.     Scrapbooking Tips: How To Use Cut Image Rules of cutting First you need to make sure you cut out the image properly. You can’t use a person’s image on a layout if some of their organs are cut. That means that if you can’t cut the image fully don’t cut it. If you need to cut out arms or legs that would look weird on a page and I recommend against it. However there are exceptions. If you need to cut off a foot or a hand then you can still use the photo as long as you find some way of hiding that. For …

Water Color Doodling Art Journal Page

I often get asked how to create simple art journal pages. I also hear: “I don’t have all those fancy stuff like you, how can I art journal”? Well today I want to share a Water Color Doodling Art Journal Page. You only need two materials to create this page: a permanent black pen and water colors.     Water Color Doodling Art Journal Page Start with doodling on your white art journal page with a black pen. Simply start with a small simple shape like a circle and then add more shapes around it. Keep adding circles, petals, lines and other simple shapes until it all combines into an elaborate shape. I created different sizes and combinations of shapes.     When I finished the first step I looked at my page and decided I want to add more to the shapes. I colored some parts of each shape with the black pen and also added more shapes to …

4 Erasers Every Crafter Should Know

You planned a great project and outlined it with a pencil now you want to erase the pencil and it won’t come off. I want to share the 4 Erasers Every Crafter Should Know so you’ll be able to correct, erase or redo a part of your project.     4 Erasers Every Crafter Should Know Rubber Eraser This is the eraser we see on the top of our pencil. It works by shedding itself while lifting the graphite pencil marks. It works rather well although it doesn’t always removes the marks completely and can tare the paper if used too aggressively. Gum eraser The gum eraser has a softer feeling to it and also works great on paper. It tends to crumble while you use it but this is what enables it to absorb the graphite from the paper. The only problem is that it doesn’t last as long as the rubber erasers. Kneaded eraser This type of eraser …

Today I want to share with you the Black Inks: The Ultimate Guide. I use black ink for so many things and I found out that not all black inks are the same and that some are better for certain tasks than others. So here are my thoughts and recommendations for the different black inks out there.     Black Inks: The Ultimate Guide Stamping is a very broad term and the kind of ink you want to use depends on what you’re stamping on and what kind of project you’re creating. Stamping on Paper If you’re creating a card or a scrapbooking layout you can use any type of black ink you have. However if you are stamping on an art journal page for example and later plan to add wet mediums you want an ink which doesn’t bleed. In this case you’ll need to use a permanent ink like Ranger Archival Ink. Stamping on non-porous surface When you …
